01 — Who I am

Dave the Gutter Guy is a sole trader in Perth, Western Australia (ABN [ADD YOUR ABN]). In this policy "I", "me" and "my" means Dave the Gutter Guy.

02 — What I collect

• Your first name and mobile number
• Your suburb, and your street address once a job is booked
• Job details from the quote form (service, storeys, roof type, when it was last cleaned)
• Anything you send me by email, text or phone, including photos of your property
• Before and after photos I take on the job

03 — Why I collect it

To give you a quote, book and do the job, contact you about it, and send invoices. I also keep records for tax and insurance. I don't use your details for marketing unless you ask me to.

04 — Job photos

I may use before and after photos on this website or on social media. Photos only show roofs, gutters, panels and paving, never people, house numbers or anything that could identify your address. If you don't want your job photographed or shared, just tell me.

05 — Who sees it

Only me, plus the services I run the business on: email, phone, accounting software and the website host (Netlify), which receives quote form submissions. Some of these may store data outside Australia. I never sell or rent your information. I'll only share it if the law requires me to.

06 — How long I keep it

Quote requests that don't go ahead are deleted within 12 months. Records of completed jobs are kept for 5 years, as the ATO requires, then deleted.

07 — Cookies & analytics

This site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. If basic, anonymous visitor counting is added later, this section will be updated to name the tool.

08 — Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you at any time. If you're unhappy with how I've handled it, contact me first. If it's still not sorted, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
